My motherboard is an ASUS M5A97 r2.0 if that helps. Is there any way I can wipe my hdd without using a windows disc? I'm at a loss. It gives me the error before it gets a chance to boot (and yes, I've tried reformatting the usb again). Press ctrl alt delete to restart"Įverything I've seen from google is telling me to simply pop in my windows disc and run the system repair. Now when I boot up the pc, it gives me an error: "BOOTMGR is missing. Everything was going great last night and windows was installing fine, but when I noticed the time I decided to cancel the install, go to bed and just finish up this morning before work. My dvd drives from my old build were too old to use with my new motherboard (no sata) so I had to format a bootable windows 7 usb install. Hi! I just spent 3 days trying to get my new build to boot and last night I finally got it working.
